Duration: 30 minutes

Whether it is growing wealth, buying a home, or simply saving for a dream holiday, the power to achieving your financial goals lies in developing a plan and following it through. Our ‘Financial Literacy Basics’ mini-series explores what may be ahead in your financial future and shares some good money habits to help you achieve the financial future you want … in just 30 minutes a day for 3 days.

Starting with ‘Planning for your financial future’ on Tuesday March 17 when we take a high level, long term view of a financial plan to help you achieve your financial goals.

On Wednesday March 18 we take a look at ‘Budgeting’ as it may be easier than you think to take control of your money. This webinar will take you through a step by step process to develop your own budget and provide some tips on spending and saving to help you to achieve your financial goals.

The third webinar in our mini-series is 'Borrowing’ on Thursday March 19. Borrowing is just one tool that we can use to get the things we want. But when is the right time to borrow? And how do we ensure we are not ‘borrowing ourselves into trouble’? Join this webinar to gain insights aimed to help you avoid the pitfalls of not borrowing well.

Following each 20-25 minute presentation, you also get the opportunity to ask your questions of our experienced Financial Educators. You will also have access to the handouts which will include a summary of the content and a transcript of the presentation.

If you are not able to attend the live webinar on this date you can view a recorded version here.

Using credit wisely may help you to get ahead. However, if it’s not managed well it may have a negative impact on your financial future. Therefore, it’s important to understand why we borrow, the different types of loans available, how to manage the loan effectively, and what the pitfalls of not borrowing well, may be. This is part 3 in our 3-part mini-series on ‘Financial literacy basics’.
